Animal OsteopathyAbout Me - My interest in animals and ambition to run an animal clinic alongside my human treatment practice led me to spend over six years training to treat animals effectively. I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in London and took a postgraduate diploma in Classical Osteopathy in Maidstone. The following year I completed the postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Animals in Wantage. I am particularly interested in the osteopathic diagnosis and treatment of animals as they are unable to directly communicate any problems or discomfort. I have found that by developing and using visual assessment and touch an accurate diagnosis can be made. I treated animals for friends and colleagues and since qualifying with the post-graduate vetinary diploma I have developed my own practice.

Animal Osteopath

Training - My training covered the key elements of anatomy, pathology, biomechanics, equitation, and the application of osteopathic principles and techniques to both the equine and canine forms. I gained hands-on experience of treating horses and ponies of all types from children's first ponies to high-level eventers. Work experience with dogs was organized at greyhound kennels and dog clinics treating pets, working and agility dogs.

Please Note: Anyone using the title Osteopath must have completed at least 4 years training and have been registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
